Spring 2017 Convocation will be held from Friday, June 16 to Saturday, June 24. All ceremonies will take place in the Convocation Pavilion, at the Aviva Centre, 1 Shoreham Drive, York University - Keele campus, with the exception of Ceremony #13, which will take place at the Glendon campus.
Vanier CGS and Trudeau Foundation Scholarship Nomination Processes at York

The Vanier CGS and the Trudeau scholarship are Canada’s most prestigious awards for doctoral students. Eligible incoming and first-year doctoral students are invited to submit a preliminary application.
York University Retirees' Association Graduate Award
Deadline: June 26
This award is given to full-time Master's students who demonstrate financial need and either a strong commitment to volunteerism in the community or active engagement in a student leadership role. Value: $1,500.
Fulbright Canada Student Awards
Deadline: November 15, 11:59pm EST
The Health System Impact Fellowship provides highly-qualified individuals with a doctorate degree in health services and policy research, or related fields, a unique opportunity to apply their research and analytic talents to critical challenges in health system and related organizations outside of the traditional scholarly setting and to develop professional experience, new skills, and networks. Value: $70,000 per annum, plus research allowance.

Lake Shift Dissertation Writing Retreat

The Faculty of Graduate Studies invites PhD students who are at the writing stage of their dissertation to apply for the Lake Shift Dissertation Writing Retreat July 9—14, 2017. Queen’s University has invited Ontario universities to send PhD students writing their dissertations to a writing retreat at its Biology Research Station on Lake Opinicon. York University has been given 5 spaces for students this summer. The dissertation writing retreat brings together students from multiple disciplines to a setting where they can concentrate on writing, and attend workshops on the writing process. Applicants must be able to attend the entire retreat.
Call for Papers: 2017 Canadian Bureau for International Education Graduate Research Series

The series explores current social, cultural, management and policy‐related issues of international education. To tie into the ongoing national campaign to inspire learning abroad, researchers are invited to submit papers reflecting this theme. Selected papers will be widely publicized digitally and published by CBIE online at cbie.ca.
