Call for Faculty Member Volunteers for FGS Awards Committee: By-Election
Deadline for submissions: July 21, 3:30pm
Please forward this notice to your graduate program's faculty members. Faculty members wishing to volunteer for a position on Faculty of Graduate Studies' Awards Committee for a term commencing on election and ending June 30, 2019, should respond to M. Michael Schiff, Coordinator, Faculty Governance, by July 21. Faculty members should be available to serve on the 3rd Friday of every month from 9:30 to 11:30am; and should be prepared to provide a 250-word biographical statement. Members of Standing Committees are also on Faculty Council which meets the first Thursday of each month October through June starting at 3:00pm.

Canada Day closure
The Faculty of Graduate Studies, along with the rest of York University, will be closed Monday, July 3 to observe the Canada Day holiday. We will reopen Tuesday, July 4 at 8:30am and will be happy to serve you then.

Kostas Tsotsos Graduate Award

The Kostas Tsotsos Graduate Award will provide support for masters and doctoral students whose research is related to Greek History, Hellenic Studies, History, Law, Mathematics, or Science. Value: $2,000.
IDRC Research Award 2018

Research positions are available at the International Development Research Centre for master’s or doctoral students pursuing research on one or more developing countries.

Fulbright Canada Student Awards

The Health System Impact Fellowship provides highly-qualified individuals with a doctorate degree in health services and policy research, or related fields, a unique opportunity to apply their research and analytic talents to critical challenges in health system and related organizations outside of the traditional scholarly setting and to develop professional experience, new skills, and networks. Value: $70,000 per annum, plus research allowance.
