Mathematics research offers new ways to control West Nile transmission
Professor Huaiping Zhu, professor of mathematics and director of the Laboratory of Mathematical Parallel Systems at York University and Tier 1 York Research Chair in Applied Mathematics (commencing July 1, 2018), looked at the impact of these two factors on the transmission of West Nile virus.

Through its robot-making and machine-learning proficiency, York University’s profile in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) world is ascending. In March 2018, York University hosted the FIRST Robotics Competition, where high school students’ robots squared off against each other.
